WCHA E-News - September 25, 2007
Get out the Vote!
One of the privileges of becoming a founding member, besides the fact that the opportunity will never be offered again,
is the opportunity to ratify the first by-laws of the group and elect the first Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
As mentioned in the last newsletter, the schedule has been delayed due to the number of memberships received, however, the vote
will be taken in the next week.
Please note that if you have an e-mail address on file with WCHA, you will receive notification regarding on-line voting with a
downloadable file of the by-laws made available for review. As a cost saving measure, those with faxes and no e-mail will receive
it by fax, while those with neither will receive information by mail.
Be aware that if you share an e-mail with another member and do not have a joint membership, a separate e-mail will be needed to
conduct the vote or you may send in your vote by fax. Only one vote will be allowed per e-mail.
You can help the WCHA by ensuring that those in your communication chain are aware of the above. We know from experience that word
travels fast in this industry so your help is appreciated!
Join the Celebration October 17!
The WCHA will "officially" kick off as the newest association in the horse industry at a celebration October 17 at the
All American Quarter Horse Congress.
A meeting of founding members will be held at 3 p.m. and the reception will be held at 7 p.m. A location will be announced soon.
The event will be free to all members and interested persons, although a ticket will be required. Tickets will be sent
electronically via the e-newsletter method or you can pick a ticket up at designated stalling areas in the Gilligan Building.

Shout it Loud and Proud!
The WCHA will have a great selection of wearables for sale at the October 17 celebration, plus free caps will be provided on a first
come first serve basis, courtesy of Heck Yea Quarter Horses Inc.
Dress shirts, as well as Take The Lead t-shirts styes for men and women will be made available. Men's shirts will be long sleeve
back with the design on the left, while ladies shirts will be a chocolate and pink jersey style with the design on the right.
Buy 'em while they're hot as limited sizes and styles are available! On sale October 17.

Membership in the WCHA has topped 175 in 32 states and two provinces, with Texas leading the pack at 42 members,
followed by Oklahoma with 13, Mississippi with 8, Louisiana, Kansas and Iowa with 8 each, respectively, and Arizona and
California with 7.
