WCHA E-News - November 15, 2007
Greetings!
The richest man who ever lived, King Solomon, said "Without vision, the people perish." Vision is certainly one of the
goals of the World Conformation Horse Association and was the main topic during its launch event October 17. Read on to
learn what happened at that meeting and see the presentation.
It's also interesting to know that King Solomon was a horseman, owning 4,000 stalls for his horses and chariots and
keeping 12,000 horsemen on his payroll. Even he would have liked the vision of the WCHA Breeders Classic, bringing value to
the halter horse stallion and their resulting foals. Learn more about that as you read on.

More than 350 Attend Celebration Launch
Interest in the conformation horse received strong affirmation after a crowd of more than 350 attended the first official
meeting of the World Conformation Horse Association October 17 in Columbus, Ohio, with nearly 400 attending a reception staged
to launch the horse industry's newest association. An additional 50 members joined during the event.
Held during the All American Quarter Horse Congress, the two-hour WCHA membership meeting provided current members and
interested persons with a snap shot of the mission of and plans for the group, as well as the list of nominees for the first
WCHA Executive Committee and Board of Directors along with its plans for a breeders program.
"Walking into that room full of excited and interested people was a great thrill for me," said Peter Cofrancesco, III, of
Sparta, New Jersey, one of the driving forces behind the formation of the group. "The work that has been done by a few over the
past five months was clearly worth the effort and now we have many more interested in seeing this group and are coming forward to
volunteer their time and effort."

Funds raised through Stallion enrollments will be used immediately for fall futurities, and funds invested through foal enrollments
will be used for maturity classes for those respective foals.
Enrollment forms and information will be made available on the WCHA web site shortly.
