WCHA E-News - August 1, 2007
75N60!
That's right. You are among the first 75 Founding Members of the World Conformation Horse Association, a goal reached in only 60 days!
Now that the WCHA is halfway to it's goal of 150 Founding Members, you'll want to be a part of seeing your friends and colleagues
become a part of the ground swell to build an association representing the interests of the conformation horse. So spread the news!
WCHA Extends Founding Member Deadline
The WCHA Steering Committee has agreed to extend the Founding Member application deadline to September 1.
"Information about the Founding Membership opportunity is just now appearing in industry magazines and some are just now hearing of it,"
said Peter J. Cofrancesco, III, committee chairman.
Current WCHA Founding Members will be on hand at the AQHYA World Championship, Reichert Celebration and other events to distribute
information to interested parties. To receive copies of brochures or for more information, contact julie@golatigo.com
or call 817-443-0686.
Join the Celebration October 17!
The WCHA will "officially" kick off as the newest association in the horse industry at a celebration October 17 at the
All American Quarter Horse Congress.
The event will be free to all members and interested persons, although a ticket will be required. WCHA will introduce
its slate of officers and board of directors, while representatives will be available to answer questions. For more
information about the Congress, just click on the logo. Stay tuned for more about time, locaton and ticket distribution.
What's Happening Now?
WCHA Committees are hard at work finalizing by-laws, developing a budget and outlining future events. Founding members will be
tentatively invited to vote on the proposed by laws and a slate of officers prior to October 1.
A logo designed especially for Founding Members will be sent to all members within the next few days for use in advertising, on
websites or business cards. A copy of the logo will also be provided to publications such as The Quarter Horse Journal,
Paint Horse Journal, Southern Horseman, Equine Chronicle and Lope and Lead.
A web site is currently being designed and will be available for use by September 1 or sooner.
Not bad for 60 days!
