WCHA E-News - August 2008
WCHA welcomes new Executive Committee Member
and Board Members
Jerry Bauerly Executive Committee, replacing Peter Cofrancesco, who due to his appointment to the AQHA Executive Committee will now serve WCHA in a Lifetime Ex
Officio Director-at-Large and Advisor to the Executive Committee.
Greg DeMint will replace Jerry Bauerly as the owner/breeder Board Member Region 5 and Jeff Heuer will replace Ronnie Casper as the professional Board Member for Region 6.
Greg is a WCHA Founding Member and resides in Lee's Summit, Missouri and Jeff Heuer is a WCHA Founding member from Greensboro, Georgia.
WCHA in the News:
The Chronicle is WCHA's official sponsor and publication. Thanks to Tom and Amy Grabe for their on-going support. Look for the WCHA Ad in the August Equine Chronicle.
This ad will feature some of our Regional Experience winners.
AQHA has also been very supportive and provided us advertising space in its' new halter section, when certain halter advertising thresholds are met.
We encourage you to utilize both publications to meet your promotional needs.
WCHA Events News:
At the request of many in our membership, WCHA has sponsored a limited number of events in 2008. We partnered with AQHA and participated in the AQHA Regional Experiences.
WCHA held events in Region 1, Region 3, Region 4, Region 5, Region 7, Region 8 and Texas Classic. The events consisted of Non-Pro Mares, Non-Pro Geldings, Youth Mares
and Youth Geldings and educational clinics. Members donated money to sponsor the events as well as their time to judge and perform the clinics. Thanks to all who have
participated as sponsors, see the list below. We attracted many new members and new exhibitors. Feedback from the participants and spectators has been very positive and a
good time was had by all.

The Existing Events Committee will now be focused on identifying event opportunities for 2009, please forward ideas to the WCHA for
participation in existing large shows in your Region that you would like to see considered for WCHA participation in 2009.
Membership Committee Update:
We continue to attract new members; in fact, through the hard work of many on the Membership Committee and other volunteers we attained over 100 new members in the last two months.
A special thank you to Jerry Bauerly, Candace Jussen, Diane Miller, Mimsi Lovering, Glenn & Mary Cantrell, Kathy Stamps, and Joshua Larman for all their
dedication representing WCHA at the Paint, Pinto, Palomino Worlds Shows, Regional Shows and most recently the AQHYA World Show.
