WCHA E-News - April 2010

Well spring is finally here and the show season has really picked up the pace for those of us showing halter horses.

We had a great board of directors meetng on Wednesday night, all of our committees have been working hard on some very exciting new events and projects for WCHA, for example:
1. Standards Committee - New bronze trophy for awards and prints of the WCHA standard are available for sale

2. Existing Events Committee - Horse Show approval requirements

3. Judges Committee - Judges Applicant exam in August 2010

4. Membership Committee - Membership drive contest and educational clinics throughout the country

5. Breeders Program - Stallion Service Auction & Futurity, Claiming Futurity Classes and Youth Halter Competition at Major Stock Shows

6. Sponsorship & Marketing Committee - WCHA Logo product sales, Website advertising and Corporate Sponsorships

7. Technology Committee - New format for website, articles, advertising directory and forms

As you can see a lot of great programs are under way. I would like to get more members involved on these committees so if you have an interest in serving just let me know.

This is a great time to be a WCHA member.
