WCHA E-News - March 2011
Hello WCHA Membership,
What an exciting time to be a WCHA member! WCHA held their annual meeting on Saturday March 5, 2011 during the AQHA Convention in Grapevine, Texas. This was a great and informative meeting that was standing room only!
There were several important reports that WCHA would like to pass along to the membership:
- The Dixie National/WCHA Futurity was a great event that paid out more than $15,000 in prize money
- The AQHA Show and Contest Committee along with the AQHA Board Of Directors passed a rule that allows Amateur and Youth exhibitors the use of a lip chain (start date to be determined after AQHA Executive Committee)
- Don Falcon and Luke Castle reported that the Breeders Championship Futurity has tremendous support and is really emphasizing that is an all breed futurity with large payouts.
Bill Horton, president of the Iowa Quarter Horse Association reported that the new facility, the Jacobson Center will be ready for use at this exciting event to be held September 22-25, 2011 in Des Moines, IA. F
